Our story

Born in Holborn. Built for the City.

Widegate House grew out of Sardinia House, our Holborn practice of more than four decades. Patients kept asking for the same care closer to their desks. So we built it: the same clinicians, the same standards, and the technology to finish in one visit what used to take two.

You will not be rushed. We run to time because the practice is organised around yours.

Assess and numb

We check the tooth, take any X-rays needed and confirm a crown is the right answer. The tooth is numbed and shaped.

Scan and design

A digital scan replaces the impression. Your dentist designs the crown on screen and you can see it before it is made.

Mill and finish

The crown is milled from a ceramic block, then stained, glazed and fired to match the neighbouring teeth. You can take calls or catch up on email in the meantime.

Fit and check

The crown is tried in, the bite is checked and it is bonded in place. You leave with the finished tooth.

CBCT 3D imaging

A three-dimensional X-ray of teeth, roots and bone, taken on site in seconds. It is how we plan implants and find what a flat X-ray misses.

iTero and Primescan scanners

Digital scans instead of impression putty. You see your own teeth on screen within minutes, and so do we.

CEREC and an on-site lab

Crowns and ceramic restorations designed, milled and finished in the building, so they can be fitted the same day.

Operating microscope

High magnification for root canal treatment and for finding cracks that cannot be seen any other way.

EMS Airflow

Guided Biofilm Therapy: a warm, fine spray that lifts plaque and stain with very little scraping.

The fee you are quoted is the fee you pay.

Guide fees are published in full. After your assessment you receive a written treatment plan with exact costs, and nothing starts until you have agreed it. Finance is available to spread the cost of treatment.

Where is Widegate House Dental Practice?+

We are at 26 Widegate Street, London E1 7HP, just off Bishopsgate on the border of the City and Spitalfields. Liverpool Street station is under three minutes away on foot, and Aldgate, Moorgate and Bank are all within a short walk.

Is Widegate House a private dentist?+

Yes. Widegate House is a private practice and does not provide NHS treatment. Our guide fees are published on this website, and you receive a written plan with exact costs before any treatment starts.

Can I get a same-day dental appointment near Liverpool Street?+

Often, yes. Call or WhatsApp 07497 573 936 and we will find the earliest slot, or book online to see what is available today. Urgent problems are prioritised.

What are your opening hours?+

We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. You can book online at any time.

How much is a new patient check-up?+

A new patient assessment is £125. X-rays, if they are needed, are £30 each. A routine dental health check for existing patients is £110.

Can a crown really be made and fitted in one visit?+

For most back teeth, yes. We scan the tooth, design the crown on screen, mill it from ceramic in our on-site lab and fit it in the same appointment, usually within two to three hours.
