Guide fees
These are our guide fees for private dental treatment at Widegate House. Every patient receives a written plan with exact costs after their assessment, before any treatment starts. Widegate House is a private practice and does not provide NHS treatment.
The small print, in large print
After your assessment you receive a treatment plan with options and exact fees. Plans are valid for 30 days. Nothing begins until you have agreed it.
Payment is taken in advance to secure appointments. We accept debit and credit cards, American Express, Apple Pay and bank transfer.
Finance is available to spread the cost of treatment from £250 to £30,000, subject to status. Applicants must be over 18. Ask us for details.
We ask for 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged at £50 per 30 minutes of clinical time lost.
Dental insurance
We welcome patients with any dental insurance policy or health cash plan. You pay the practice for your treatment in the usual way, then claim the cost back from your insurer or plan provider, depending on your policy. We provide receipts and your written treatment plan to support your claim.
Please always check with your insurance or plan provider as to what portion of your treatment will be reimbursed by them. Some policies need approval before larger treatment begins.
Dental insurance
Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Simplyhealth, WPA, Unum and Dencover, Boots
International cover
Cigna Global, Allianz Care, Bupa Global, AXA Global Healthcare
We are not affiliated with any insurer, and this list is not exhaustive.
Practice policies
Our practice policies in full. Select a heading to read more, or ask the team if anything is unclear.
If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to change it if you provide us with 48 hours’ notice.
Failure to provide us with 48 hours’ advance notice or failure to present for a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation or no show fee. This fee will equate to £50 per 30 minutes of clinical time lost.
Sometimes cancellations cannot be helped due to illness or emergency and we will take all valid circumstances into account.
Our Practice Payment Policy is that we require payment for each treatment in advance to secure any appointments.
We accept Apple Pay, debit cards, credit cards, American Express and bank transfers.
Finance plans are available to help spread the cost of treatment. Please contact us in advance of your appointment for details. Credit checks will apply.
You will be given a bespoke treatment plan outlining the costs before any treatment is carried out. Quotes are valid for 30 days. It may be necessary to amend your treatment plan, in which case the costs may change. If this happens, the team will let you know and ask how you wish to proceed.
Please note: failure to provide 48 hours’ notice to change or cancel a scheduled appointment will result in a charge of £50 per 30 minutes of clinical time lost.
We endeavour to help you rearrange appointments where possible, and ask that you give us as much notice as possible, preferably by email to info@widegatedental.com, to prevent these charges being incurred.
Our patients are kept registered for 2 years, and we recommend attending for maintenance every 6–12 months.
Any private appointment missed without 48 hours’ notice will be charged at £50 per 30 minutes of clinical time lost.
If you fail to attend 2 or more appointments, we will no longer see you as a patient at our practice.
