New patients

Your first visit, start to finish.

A new patient assessment at Widegate House is a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth with a digital scan and photographs, followed by a clear written plan. It costs £125, with X-rays at £30 each where needed. We are under three minutes from Liverpool Street station.

What to expect

Five steps, no surprises.

The fee you are quoted is the fee you pay. Nothing is started until you have seen the plan and agreed it.

01

Book

Book online, call or WhatsApp. You will receive a short medical history form to complete before you arrive, so the appointment is spent on you and not on paperwork.

02

Talk

We start with what brought you in: a problem, a goal or simply a check-up that is overdue. Tell us if you are nervous. It changes how we do things, and it is more common than you think.

03

Examine

Teeth, gums, soft tissues and bite are checked carefully. We take a digital scan and photographs, and X-rays only where they are clinically justified.

04

See it on screen

Your scan and photographs go up on screen and we walk you through what we have found. You see what we see.

05

Leave with a plan

You receive a written plan with options and exact fees. If something simple can be treated there and then, and you would like it done, we will often do it the same day.

Common questions

Questions, answered

How much is a new patient appointment?+

The new patient assessment is £125. X-rays, where they are clinically needed, are £30 each. Hygiene is booked separately, from £135.

Do I need to register?+

No. There is no registration list or joining fee. Book an appointment and you are a patient.

Can I book a hygienist without seeing a dentist first?+

Yes. You can book directly with our hygienist and therapist, Sarah Waters, online.

I have not been to a dentist for years. Is that a problem?+

Not at all. Many new patients tell us the same. We will take it at your pace, and if anxiety has kept you away, ask us about sedation.

Can I bring X-rays or records from my previous dentist?+

Yes. Recent X-rays are helpful and can save repeating them. Ask your previous practice to email them to you or to us.

Are you taking new patients?+

Yes. Widegate House is welcoming new patients, and same-day appointments are often available.
