Endodontics
Dr Spencer Richman
Spencer has practised dentistry since 2002 and limits his practice to endodontics: saving teeth with root canal treatment. He has carried out more than 7,000 root canal treatments, for people with toothache, infected teeth, or teeth so badly broken down that they need rebuilding.
He earned his BDS and MSc at the University of Manchester, followed by an MSc in Endodontics in 2015, and holds the MFGDP(UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also completed the year-long Tipton restorative course and further training in composite and restorative dentistry. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society and a Key Opinion Leader for Dentsply Sirona.
He works under a dental operating microscope and uses CBCT 3D imaging to plan complex cases. Just as important to him is that you feel calm and comfortable, and that you understand what is being done and why. Patients often mention how clearly he explains things.
Spencer is a dental mentor and university clinical teacher, and with Dr Amit Patel he co-founded Building Better, where they teach general dentists on live cases. He also accepts referrals from other dentists for difficult root canal cases, and sees patients at Widegate House and at our sister practices, Sardinia House in Holborn and Bellevue Dental in Wandsworth.
Outside work, he spends his time with his two young children and can usually be found on a spin bike.
