Dental Hygienist & Therapist
Sarah Waters
Sarah is a dental hygienist and therapist at Widegate House, and also sees patients at our sister practices, Sardinia House in Holborn and Bellevue Dental in Wandsworth. Her work centres on three things: preventing problems before they start, treating gum disease, and making visits comfortable for people who feel nervous about the dentist.
She explains what is happening in your mouth in plain, jargon-free language, so you understand why a problem has developed and what will resolve or stabilise it. Then she works with you on a home-care routine that fits into your day, because that is what keeps the result.
Most of her cleaning is done with Guided Biofilm Therapy using EMS Airflow, a warm, fine spray that lifts plaque and stain with very little scraping. She also provides teeth whitening, in the chair or at home, on your dentist's prescription.
Sarah graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a BSc (Hons) in Oral and Dental Health Sciences, and completed her vocational training year in dental therapy in the NHS. She has spent most of her career since then in private practice. Patients often describe her as kind, gentle and reassuring.
Away from the practice, she enjoys running and athletics.
